Child’s Play in the Oval: Trump, Musk, and the Power Play at the White House

By Javar Juarez (CUBNSC) Washington, DC - Yesterday, an unusual scene unfolded in the Oval Office, one that should raise alarms about who’s truly pulling the strings in this administration. While Donald Trump sat behind the Resolute Desk, the real power in the room wasn’t the man in the chair but the man standing over him—Elon Musk.

The billionaire tech mogul wasn’t just there for a meeting. He was there to send a message. And that message was loud and clear: Elon Musk is calling the shots.

Trump’s “Good” News—If It’s True

In a rare moment of coherence, Trump made a statement that, if genuine, would be cause for relief. When asked whether he would abide by court rulings, he replied, “I always abide by the courts. I will appeal, but I always abide.”

That’s the right answer. But the question remains: Does anyone actually believe him?

For years, Trump has treated the legal system like a personal playground, testing how far he can push before the law pushes back. If he truly respects court rulings, then talk of a constitutional crisis may be premature. But if history is any indicator, it’s only a matter of time before Trump disregards a ruling that doesn’t serve him.

In this case, multiple lawsuits and strong pushback from Democrats are aimed at protecting the American people from Musk (DOGE’s biggest promoter) and Trump, who are working to cut off critical funding—not just for Americans, but for starving populations worldwide, including in Sudan. These legal battles are a direct effort to stop their dangerous agenda of withholding essential resources under the guise of financial "efficiency," while consolidating power and influence at the highest levels of government.

Yet, that wasn’t the most important takeaway from yesterday’s Oval Office spectacle. The real story was Elon Musk’s display of unchecked power.

A King in the White House—And It’s Not Trump

While Trump hosted King Abdullah of Jordan—the first Arab leader to meet with him and a monarch who actually governs, unlike ceremonial figureheads elsewhere—another man in the room acted as if he were the one ruling America.

Elon Musk made a calculated power play—dressed like he couldn’t be bothered to respect the office. Ignoring the White House’s traditional dress code, he stood out in the worst way possible, a blatant show of disrespect in a room where even Trump’s own aides—Stephen Miller and Will Sharp, two low-down scoundrels themselves—managed to dress appropriately.

But Musk didn’t stop there. He escalated the power move by bringing his four-year-old son into the meeting—something no serious executive would dare to do in a high-level government discussion. It wasn’t just unconventional; it was a deliberate signal that he can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, even in the Oval Office.

Why? Because he could.

This was Musk’s way of saying: I make the rules now.

When Musk’s child spoke while Trump was talking, Trump did nothing. When Musk interrupted Trump mid-sentence, Trump did nothing. These are actions that no White House official, not even former Vice President Mike Pence, would have dared to take during Trump’s first term. But Musk? He doesn’t need permission. He knows Trump is dependent on him—financially, politically, and technologically.

Trump, Musk: Billionaire Addiction

Before he entered politics, Trump desperately craved approval from the ultra-wealthy. Most real billionaires dismissed him as a fraud—a man who inherited wealth and played rich on TV.

Now, Trump is in deep financial trouble. He owes $85 million to E. Jean Carroll. He’s on the hook for nearly half a billion dollars in penalties from New York Attorney General Letitia James. And who has the power to bail him out?

Elon Musk.

We don’t know if Musk has already funneled money to Trump, but yesterday’s display of dominance suggests a transactional relationship. One in which Trump is no longer the one giving orders.

Stealing the Government—And Giving It to Whom?

While Musk played CEO of America in the Oval Office, something far more dangerous was happening behind the scenes: he’s gaining access to sensitive U.S. government data.

Musk admitted yesterday that he has been “examining” Social Security payments. That should terrify every American. This means he has access to the personal records of millions—perhaps every American citizen.

And here’s the chilling question: Where is that information going?

Musk has deep financial ties to foreign nations, including China. His company, Tesla, is heavily reliant on Chinese production and government subsidies. If Musk has access to Social Security data, Treasury records, and federal contracts, who else has access?

This isn’t just about bureaucratic oversight—it’s a national security risk.

Fabricated Corruption Claims, Zero Evidence

Throughout the meeting, Musk and Trump made sweeping claims about government corruption, alleging that federal agencies are wasting trillions. Musk claimed, without evidence, that a government worker increased her net worth by $30 million while on a federal salary. Trump asserted that contracts meant to last three months were still being paid out 20 years later.

Yet, when given the perfect opportunity to present proof—right there, on the Oval Office desk—they had nothing. No documents, no names, no figures.

Musk even claimed that Social Security was paying out benefits to people 150 years old. If that were true, it would be the easiest thing in the world to prove. So why didn’t he?

The answer is simple: he’s making it up.

This wasn’t an effort to expose corruption. It was an effort to justify dismantling social programs while funneling billions into private hands. The same way Musk is stripping Twitter (now X) for parts, the same way Trump drained resources for personal gain—this is the blueprint for their new government.

The Real Agenda: Starving the Poor, Feeding the Rich

Lost in yesterday’s spectacle was the most important takeaway: Trump and Musk are working together to gut essential government programs.

They are specifically targeting USAID, the agency that delivers food to starving children in Sudan and elsewhere. If they succeed, countless lives will be lost—not because the money isn’t there, but because Musk and Trump would rather see billions redirected into the hands of the wealthy.

For all their talk about "cutting waste," they conveniently ignore the billions in subsidies Musk’s companies receive from taxpayers. They don’t mention the billions Trump’s companies pocketed from government contracts.

Because this was never about waste. It was about power.

The Takeaway: Who’s Really in Charge?

Yesterday proved what many have feared: Trump is not running the government. Elon Musk is.

Musk dictates the conversation. Musk interrupts the president at will. Musk brings his child into meetings as a power move. Musk has access to your data.

And worst of all, we don’t know who else he’s giving that data to.

The Oval Office isn’t just a stage for Trump’s bluster anymore. It’s a boardroom where the world’s richest man is stripping the U.S. government for parts. And if he’s selling those parts to the highest bidder—whether it’s China, Saudi Arabia, or his own empire—we may not realize the full cost until it’s too late.

Yesterday was child’s play in the Oval Office. But the consequences? Deadly serious.
